During the coronavirus pandemic, keeping a home or living space clean is essential to many; it is an important part of staying healthy and free from getting sick. And staying home is also an important part of the equation. Unfortunately, there are times when you still must leave your home to make a grocery store or run the occasional errand.

Because of this, Bloomberg has made a very informative video on cleaning at home in general, and cleaning and staying safe after you return home for an errand. Some tips include:

Keep a bin by the door and put clothes in before coming indoors. Same for any other time you had with you (keys, cell phone, etc.) Also, take off shoes before entering the home.

Take clothing directly to washing area. Don't shake them or handle them too much before putting them in the washing machine. Also, use gloves when handling clothes

Regularly disinfect surfaces like computers, doorknobs, tables, remotes, and light switches.

Use disinfectants to clean surfaces, not just cleaning solution. Double check labels to see how long the disinfectant should stay on a surface before you wipe it off.

And, of course, wash your hands regularly.
