Despite bans on public gatherings and sporting events, Dana White is pulling out all the stops to ensure that UFC 249 takes place later this month.

Following the head honcho's announcement that he's trying to secure a private island to host the fights, the New York Times says another plan is in the works.

Reportedly the April 18th event will be held on tribal lands in central California at the Tachi Palace Casino Resort, which places it outside the control of the government and the California State Athletic Commission.

Not everyone is on board with the idea, however. USA Today's Nate Scott writes, "If Dana White wants to be a Bond villain, he should at least get a white cat," while boxing promoter Bob Arum said, "[White] ought to be ashamed of himself."
