Astros Suspensions Will Count Even If MLB Doesn’t Play 2020 Season

Astros manager AJ Hinch and GM Jeff Luhnow were each suspended for one year for the now-infamous 2017 sign-stealing scandal. But what happens to those suspensions with the 2020 MLB season delayed indefinitely?

According to ESPN's Buster Olney, they'll still count as served even if no baseball is played in 2020.

Olney says the suspensions don't specify any number of games and instead end "following the completion of the 2020 World Series", which means a shortened season won't have any effect.
