Man Lied About Coronavirus Symptoms to N.Y. Hospital to Visit Wife in Maternity Ward
A New York hospital says a man who visited his wife in the maternity ward lied about his coronavirus symptoms to be allowed into the hospital.
Per local Fox affiliate WROC, Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. said the unnamed man admitted to hiding his symptoms once his wife started showing symptoms of COVID-19 after giving birth.
Since this discovery, Strong Memorial Hosptial and all hospitals associated with the University of Rochester Medical Center and Rochester Regional Health have instituted a "universal masking procedure" meaning anyone who steps into these hospitals must wear a surgical mask at all times.
