President Trump Recommends Avoiding Groups of Ten Or More

In a press conference today (March 16), President Trump announced new coronavirus guidelines for Americans to follow over the next 15 days, recommending that all Americans avoid groups of more than 10 people; avoid discretionary travel, as well as eating and drinking at bars, restaurants and food courts. He also said schools are recommended to close.
At a White House briefing, the President said that with several weeks of action, "We can turn the corner," on the pandemic. The President also said the government is "prepared to do whatever it takes; whatever it takes, we're doing."
The President also cautioned it could be a while before the coronavirus threat abates. "It seems to me if we do a really good job ... it could be July, August" until the threat of the pandemic diminishes.
