Did The Simpson’s Predict That Tom Hanks Would Get Coronavirus?

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA – JANUARY 05: Tom Hanks attends the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 05, 2020 in Beverly Hills, California.

The Simpson's have a track record for predicting the future and now Tom Hanks being in isolation for the coronavirus might have been predicted as well in The Simpsons Movie in 2007.

According to Dailymail.com in the episode, Tom advertises a "new Grand Canyon" and claims the US government has lost its credibility.

He adds: "This is Tom Hanks saying if you see me in person, please, please leave me be." Tom was recently hospitalized with coronavirus alongside his wife Rita Wilson in Australia and are now in isolation.

The show previously 'predicted' the coronavirus itself - with 1993 episode Marge In Chains featuring a far-eastern virus sweeping the planet and infecting the residents of Springfield.
