Where To Take Your Valentine in Southwest Florida

The “Day of Love” is approaching fast and if you’re like the rest of us, you probably haven't started planning.

What a daunting task it is to make sure you have the perfect date arranged. I mean the possibilities are endless. Fret no more, here is a list of the best date ideas that Southwest Florida has to offer!

Take a stroll

One of the best spots in SWFL is downtown Naples on 5th Avenue. Here you can take a romantic stroll along the elegantly lit walkways with the aromas of high-end food and ice-cream filling your nose. After you walk the whole street, you'll be just steps away from the white sandy beach.

Enjoy the outdoors

Southwest Florida has an abundance of parks that offer kayaking. Here you and your date can share a kayak and glide atop the water with the sunset being your light the whole way. Ah, how romantic.

Movies and popcorn

SWFL is also home to multiple pristine theaters. What says Valentine’s Day more than dinner and a show? Whether you want to see a musical, comedy, or even a symphony, there's something for everyone.  You’re bound to feel like you’re in a real-life Nicolas Spark’s film.

Go dancing

Put on those dancing shoes and get ready to spin around on the dance floor. SWFL has many locations that offer live music, dinner, and drinks. You’ll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the evening.

Watch the sunset

There is nothing like watching the sunset in SWFL. Whether you are in Naples or Fort Myers, you will be able to see the sky painted with pinks and oranges. This can be a very romantic date as you sit on a blanket with the sound of waves crashing down and a picnic basket full of wine and charcuterie boards.

Ice-cream

Ice-cream is always an option. No need to wait for dessert time, ice-cream is the perfect date in sunny SWFL. This will for sure cool you down and it also makes everyone happy.

Take a romantic walk in the park

Walking in the park is a really fun activity. You might even learn something about the history of Florida without even knowing it, since there are facts about the trails along the way. There are multiple parks that you can walk through, ride your bike, or even bring your dog to stroll with you. There really is nothing better than a date that involves a dog, let’s be real.

Now you are all set to have the BEST DATE EVER on Feb. 14. By picking any of these options you are destined to get…at least a second date!
