While Levi Stadium, home of the 49ers, is located 45 miles south in Santa Clara, California, the team still retains the namesake of San Francisco.
So if they win the Super Bowl, the Niners would hoist their sixth Lombardi trophy at a victory parade held in SF anyway, says the former mayor, Willie Brown.
According to a report in Thursday's San Francisco Chronicle, the festivities would take place on February 5th, the Wednesday following the Big Game.
Taking the field against the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LIV next Sunday, the 49ers are listed as 1.5-point underdogs.
