Lynch to Launch Oakland Arena Team as Co-Owner

Retired NFL player Marshawn Lynch plans to keep himself busy in his hometown and football. He is now the co-owner of the Oakland Panthers, a new Indoor Football League team.

Lynch says that he decided to put his money into the IFL after watching his brother play in Arizona. He says he ran into co-owner Roy Choi and team president Scott McKibben when they told him about a team coming to Oakland.

Lynch sees this as his second chance to leave his legacy to his hometown since the Raiders are heading to Las Vegas. According to ESPN, the Panthers will play at the former Oracle Arena.
