Carmelo Anthony Says Rockets Dumped Him For Non-Basketball Reasons

Carmelo Anthony believes he still belongs in the NBA, and took a swipe at his former team in an interview with ESPN.

Appearing on First Take, Anthony accused the Rockets of releasing him for reasons beyond his play on the court, saying "You're telling me I can't make a nine, ten-man rotation on this team? It's deeper than basketball."

The 35-year-old Anthony says he wants to play next season and has had "dialogue" with the Lakers and Clippers about returning.
