For the first time since 2006, Ohio State and Michigan will square off as undefeated teams 12pm Fox

The winner of this game clinches a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game and is a near lock to reach the College Football Playoff. However, the loser is still in good shape (especially if it’s the Buckeyes):

Chance to Reach CFP – Based on Head-to-Head Result
Michigan                             Ohio State
MICH win 97%                       80%
OSU win 63%                           99%

This will be just the 9th time in major college football history two teams enter a regular-season matchup at 11-0 or better and the 4th since 1900. Wolverines vs Buckeyes Fun Facts

Since 1935, when Michigan and Ohio State started scheduling each other as the last regular season game, Saturday will be just the 5th time the two schools enter their annual matchup undefeated. Ohio State has had the upper hand in these matchups, going 3-0-1.

Historically, AP Top-5 matchups have not been kind to the Wolverines. They are 6-23-1 in these games, the most losses by any team in the Poll Era (since 1936). That is also the 3rd-worst record in AP Top-5 matchups among teams to play five such games.
