The transplanted Toronto Raptors have announced plans to allow 3,800 fans cheer them on during regular-season games.

In an arrangement worked out with the NBA and Florida health officials, the team will make no floor seats available and won't allow fans within 30 feet of the basketball court, the team revealed on Tuesday. Tom McDonald, vice president of ticket sales, says the team is grateful to receive clearance for a limited number of fans.

"As the Raptors call Tampa home for the start of the NBA season, the team looks forward to the opportunity to thank the community for their support," McDonald says, "while continually emphasizing the important steps required of all of us for a full return of fans when it is safe to do so."

Tickets for the upcoming season go on sale this Thursday.
