It is no secret that some jobs are more stressful than others, but you’ll never believe what the most stressful jobs in America are in 2022.

For some people, the thought of a high-stress job is enough to send them running for the hills. Others, however, thrive under pressure and view it as a necessary evil in the pursuit of their career goals.

Whether you love or hate the idea of a high-stress job, there is no denying that they can be extremely… well, stressful. From the long hours to the demanding work, it is no wonder that people in high-stress jobs often report feeling burned out and unhappy. In fact, Mental Health America’s new workplace report shows that four in five employees say workplace stress affects their various relationships.

The Occupational Information Network, part of the Labor Department, ranked 873 different occupations by level of stress. Looking at this list I was a bit surprised. For instance, it says on the list that a radio DJ is #86. Jobs ranked below that though, according to this ranking, include HR Specialists, Nuclear Power Reactor Operators and Airline Pilots. HUH?  There’s a bit of pressure in our job and we’re busy, but it’s not stressful in the way I’d think those jobs would be!

Here are the 10 most stressful jobs in America in 2022:
