This weekend is not just any weekend. It's a three day occasion, celebrating Labor Day Weekend. The holiday is known as the end to summer, beginning of fall. However, the temperatures in Southwest Florida feel anything but fall-like.

Regardless, the weekend is crazy busy with side-walk sales. Shopping is a big deal. But once you've hit your favorite store, and raked in the deals there is still more fun to be had.

Things kick off in Fort Myers with the monthly Art Walk. You can check out new art exhibits at the downtown galleries, enjoy receptions, listen to live music and check out art vendors. Most of the action happens outside on First Street and the surrounding businesses.

You can also participate in things such as Pirate Parties, Cornhole Tournaments, beer dinners, Food Truck Rallys, and live entertainment. You'll find all of this crazy fun  at Breweries in the Fort Myers area to celebrate the SWFL Craft Beer Week.

If you're headed to the beach, head out early to get a parking spot. Two Naples beaches are finally using a pilot program with the PayByPhone app to make paying easier. Look for that at both Lowdermilk Park and 5th Avenue South.

There are all kinds of things going on to keep you entertained, both inside where it is cool, and outside in the fresh air. This free event in downtown Fort Myers happens the first Friday of every month. Galleries entertain special exhibits, receptions, along with entertainment and more. The event goes from 6-10 but the party continues on in restaurants and bars.

If you want to cool off and be entertained, this competition has your name on it. Both kids and adults will be competing on the ice at the Hertz Arena where the Florida Everblades play, all weekend long.

The Naples Botanical Gardens have nearly 500 lilies in their aquatic gardens and they are being celebrated in a Festival Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 2pm.

This big party at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds has water slides, bounce houses, pony rides and more for the little kids. For the big kidz there are big trucks, foam parties and more. The event kicks off Friday at 3 and runs through 8pm Sunday.

It's Labor Day Weekend and local Breweries are celebrating. The event is the brainchild of the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce. Close to a dozen breweries are participating.
