November is here and the sprint to Thanksgiving is about to begin. But first, lets take some time to linger in Halloween just a little longer. To help you find out how and where, here are 5 weekend events in Fort Myers and Naples that offer a little something for everyone.
Halloween is not officially over for many people in Southwest Florida, despite what the calendar might show this weekend. Some of the events are being extended, in part due to interruptions from back-to-back hurricanes in October. A couple of them are listed below.
Then there are the Dia de Muertos, or day of the dead celebrations. The Mexican celebration to honor departed loved ones is November 1st. Method and Concept Gallery in Naples is having a big party and an open air market Friday night. Click here for more details on that event.

Many seasonal farmers markets are also opening up this week. Including one in Naples that two years ago moved to a larger location to accommodate its popularity and growing crowds. Scroll down for more details.

Here Are 5 Fun Weekend Events In Fort Myers And Naples
Farmer Mike's Fall Festival
It's the 10th anniversary of Farmer Mike's Fall Festival at the farm's Bonita Springs location and the family fun is being extended another weekend this year. Enjoy a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a haunted corn maze, a friendly corn maze, and lots more. Ticket prices and times vary. More info here.
Legends of Oblivion Haunted Attraction
There is nothing quite like this 17,000 square foot walkable, haunted maze. This is one of those events that was suppose to take place earlier in the month but was postponed and rescheduled due to hurricanes. Now, it debuts on Halloween and runs through the weekend as well as November 8th through the 10th. Lee County Civic Center. Gates open at 7:30 each night. More info here.
Downtown Fort Myers Art Walk
Art Walk happens the first Friday of the month. The streets of downtown Fort Myers come alive with art. The galleries feature special exhibits, see artists in action and enjoy all kinds of activities. The event runs from 5-9pm. More information here.
32nd Annual Buckler's Craft Fair
This huge fall craft fair is a long standing tradition in Fort Myers. The Lee County Civic Center will be bursting at the seams with all kinds of vendors. Get some holiday shopping done and support Harry Chapin Food Bank with a donation of canned food. Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. $6. More info here.
South Collier Market At FSW
Slowly but surely local, seasonal markets are returning and this is one of them. The South Collier Market opens for its second year at Florida Southwestern State College/Collier Campus. Enjoy food trucks and more than 50 tents filled with produce, art, and specialty items. Sunday, 9am-1pm, 7505 Grand Lely Drive. Free. More info here.
