Craig Shemon here, with the Shemon and Sheppard Show, playing Wiki-Pete-ia every weekday at 4:45-ish on ESPN Southwest Florida! Let's talk about streaks. On this 89th anniversary of Joe DiMaggio's 61 game hitting streak in minor league ball (and we did not forget his famous MLB hitting streak here), we came up with a quiz to commemorate famous sports streaks for Wiki-Pete-ia. (Technically, since Pete is on vacation this week we will use Chris for this competition. Unofficially, we will call it Chris-ipedia!). We pit him against an audience member each day. May the best man or woman win sports streaks trivia!

Here's a fun fact from memory lane. The first MLB game I attended was in 1978 when the Reds hosted the Phillies at Riverfront Stadium. At the time, Pete Rose was deep into his career-best 44 game hitting streak. While he ultimately came up short chasing DiMaggio it was still a thrilling ride. Let's visit some of the most impressive sports streaks in history. Good luck!
