Craig Shemon here, with the Shemon and Sheppard Show, playing Wiki-Pete-ia every weekday at 4:45-ish on ESPN Southwest Florida!  On this day in 1992, the Marlins broke ground on a new 7500 seat spring training stadium.  While most seasons over the team's history have been hapless, they do have two World Series championships!  So, today felt like a great day to dust off some Marlins baseball trivia for Wiki-Pete-ia.  (Technically, since Pete is on vacation this week we will use Chris for this competition.  Unofficially, we will call it Chris-ipedia!). We pit him against an audience member each day.  May the best man or woman win sports streaks trivia!

In case you are not fortunate enough to be lucky caller number nine at 239-337-ESPN, then you are in luck!  Play at home and dazzle your family!  Stump your co-workers with useless knowledge!  Amaze your friends with your newfound intelligence!  Below are the actual questions AND ANSWERS heard during Wiki-Pete-ia on our show.

Looking back, the history of the Marlins includes a pretty loaded alumni roster.  Some of the game's greatest players have worn a Marlins uniform.  Two titles and numerous rebuilds later, we feel it's time to give this organization some due respect.  So, let's play Wiki-Pete-ia!   Good luck!
