For those of us that live in Southwest Florida, we know that Sanibel Island is special. More than one celebrity has called Sanibel their second or even main home.
So if you’ve got the cash, or maybe you just won the Powerball and want to check out houses for sale in Sanibel. Or a big raise at the job. No problem, but if you’re looking to finance, better do it quick before interest rates go up. Financing a 8 million dollar house is roughly $35,000 a month for principal and interest. Don’t forget the taxes, and since many of the homes are on or very near the beach, there’s a lot more upkeep involved. That salt water takes a toll.
Many of these homes are pending or even contingent. The Southwest Florida market is super hot right now, so if you see something you like best to grab it quick. I did a search on Realtor.com for properties in Sanibel over $900,000 and it came back with 72 results. Let's just take a look at the top 10 homes for sale on Sanibel Island right now.
10. 4322 W Gulf Dr - $3,450,000
It's not on the water, but it's tucked far enough back in to the woods that you can walk around naked without closing the blinds. I should probably write for real estate sites. I know the selling points that are truly important.
9. 543 E Gulf Dr - $3,500,000
Let's go back to old Florida times. This house was built in 1968 but it's location is near perfect.
8. 1028 Bayview Dr - $3,950,000
We just went from a 50 year old house to one that's not built yet. 4 mil buys you this inside piece of land.
7. 2549 W Gulf Dr Unit 101 - $3,995,000
If you don't want the upkeep, here's a condo to check out. Mind the $1900 a month HOA fees.
