SO IT’S CHIEFS EAGLES . HOW’D WE GET THERE?

Conference Championship weekend had come and gone.  So it’s Chiefs Eagles for the Super Bowl in two weeks.  Let’s explore how we got there with a look back at the Conference Championships this past weekend.

First of all, in the night cap, great job by Patrick Mahomes.  He gutted it out and played that game  effectively on a high ankle sprain.  He played through the pain and saved his leg for his last run of the day.  He also took a dumb late hit from the Bengals.  The ensuing penalty put the Chiefs in field goal range for the winning kick with seconds remaining.

Earlier in the day, in the NFC, the Eagles were steady all day.  And the 49ers played QB roulette due to some bad luck.  Brock Purdy, who was the team’s third starting quarterback of the season, hurt his arm.  Josh Johnson tried to salvage the day but got knocked out with a concussion.  All in all, the 49ers had a great team and a great season and just came up short to the Eagles.
