Week 9 of the NFL season means we have reached the half way point of the regular season... sigh. Last week we went 2-2-1 with a push coming in the total between Denver and Jacksonville. The number it closed at hit, so there's that. It's another bland looking weekend in the league. After back-to-back weekends where only 1 game featured teams with winning records squaring off, that number jumps to 2 this weekend. Those games are the Bills at the Jets and the Sunday night game between Tennessee and Kansas City. It's a small card, but still an opportunity to make money with NFL week 9 best bets. The six teams on bye are Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, New York Giants, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco. Unfortunately there are only 2 games in the 4 o'clock window with all of the country watching the Rams and the Buccaneers.
There have been some changes across the league with a record 10 trades on deadline day. That is in addition to the 12 trades that have occurred since the start of the season. The Dolphins have beefed up their pass rush with Bradley Chubb from Denver. Minnesota added T.J. Hockenson to an already loaded offense. And Nyheim Hines gives Buffalo a pass-catching back that is missing on their roster. Contenders are pushing their chips to the center of the table. While the disappointing teams are looking for future assets with the season lost. But will these acquisitions have an immediate impact? Sure, you can wait for Sunday when you see the product on the field. Or you can scroll and check out the NFL week 8 best bets.
1. Las Vegas Raiders @ Jacksonville Jaguars UNDER 48

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of the raiders last 7 road games, while the UNDER is 5-0 in the last 5 games played in Jacksonville. Add that neither team can sustain offensive production, and a relatively high total. The under is the play.
Los Angeles Chargers @ Atlanta Falcons +3

After starting the season 6-0 ATS, the falcons are 0-2 ATS in their last 2 games. The Falcons have one of the best rushing attacks in the league and going against a Chargers defense that has been bad against the run. LA ranks 27th in the league in rushing yards per game allowed. A better coach would take advantage of the bye week. But Brandon Staley is not a good coach. Falcons +3 with a ML sprinkle.
Miami Dolphins @ Chicago Bears OVER 45.5

Miami can score. The Fins are putting up an impressive 292.5 passing yards per game. That's 3rd in the league behind Buffalo and Kansas City. In games where Tua starts and finishes, the Fish are putting up 26 points per game. Chicago's offense has been better the last 2 weeks scoring 62 points over the last 8 quarters. Justin Fields looks good. Lots of points in Chicago on Sunday.
Los Angeles Rams +3 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sean McVay owns Tom Brady. Since Brady's move to Tampa, McVay's Rams are 3-0 against Brady's Buccaneers. In fact the Rams are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 trips to Ray Jay. Look for the trend to continue as the world figures out that Tom Brady can't make up for a bad team around him. Rams +3 is the play.
Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs UNDER 45

Ryan Tannehill's status for this game remains uncertain. Malik Willis might be the future in Tennessee, but he did not show it against the Texans last week. The Titans could run on the Texans to win that game. Kansas City is a different story. Tractorcito can not beat the Chiefs on his own. KC ranks 3rd in the league against the run. If Tannehill can't go, Tennessee will have a tough time putting up 10 points. The play is the Under.
