It’s been over 20 years since Super Troopers hit theaters and the movie and bits like the Cat Game are still relevant today. The movie actually came out the same year that Michael Harris II was born – 2001. That’s what makes this even more special when he did a post game interview after Sunday’s 3-1 win over the Marlins.

Michael went 2-4 with a solo home run to tie the game in the 9th. Being as how he tied the game which they went on to win, reporters met him at his locker for some soundbites. That’s where it gets interesting.

Apparently Atlanta Braves pitcher Tyler Matzek had challenged Michael to play the ‘Cat Game”.

He needed to work in the word “meow” 5 times within 3 minutes.  It’s an incredible juvenile game that’s fun to play when no one else around is in on the joke. Let’s count ’em up and see how he did.
