I'm not going to lie. This one kind of surprises me. Miami is named best family vacation destination in the U.S according to Family Destinations Guide. I guess, I was thinking family, theme parks, Orlando. However, Orlando didn't even make the top ten of this list.
Coming up with the rankings
When I think of Miami, I think party. It's also been listed as the best place for a bachelorette party in the United States. But I guess like many big cities, this one has something for everyone. To come up with this list, the guide looked at a number of variables. It starts with narrowing the search to the top 50 U.S. cities by population. Hotel prices are a big part of travel and they were one of factors considered.
Also analyzed were the number of family attractions and the number of restaurants per 100 thousand people. All of these factors were assigned a number on a ten point scale. Next, all categories were added up. Finally, the rankings were established,
A spokesperson for the guide says, “Overseas travel is expensive, and since 2019, staycations have seen a 16% increase in searches. The research shows that people in the U.S. are looking more towards home than away for their holidays."

It's not all about casinos here. There are lots of parks and family adventures. Then there are Hershey's Chocolate World and M&Ms World for those with a sweet tooth.

This city by the bay has a great aquarium, a 7D experience, the San Francisco Zoo, Walt Disney Museum and more. It's an amazing food city and the cable cars are a big hit.

Not the first city I think of for a vacation, however, hotel prices are affordable. There are also lots of outdoor activities for the family, botanical gardens and the quirky Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures.

This city gets its ranking thanks to World of Coco-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium and Zoo Atlanta. The city has lots of museums and restaurants as well.
