Halloween Cocktail Recipes For Boo-zy Fun

Red Rum Cocktail

Just in time for your weekend festivities, you might be looking for some Halloween cocktail recipes for some boo-zy fun. We have a few ideas. In addition, there is at least one wine brand that screams Halloween, Chronic Cellars.

These wines have character both in the name and what's in the bottle. Their eye-catching labels are hand carved from artist Chris Granillo. He was inspired by Mexican artists who showcase skulls and skeletons having a good time despite hardships. It kind of reminds me of what is happening in Southwest Florida right now.

I love the fact that the folks at Chronic Cellars also love music.

Chronic Cellars

The winery put together a Purple Paradise Playlist full of Halloween appropriate tunes to match their red wine blend of the same name, Purple Paradise. This is not only a fun Halloween wine but it's good too, mostly zinfandel but also petite sirah, grenache and syrah. This is perfect for your steak tacos and pizza. $16.99

Sir Real's Horror Flick List

Chronic Cellars also makes a cabernet sauvignon called  Sir Real. It has lots of dark fruit and  tobacco flavors. If you're serving burgers, oooo blue cheese burgers, this is going to be perfect.

For this wine, Chronic Cellars put together a movie list. They say, "Sir Real is the horror movie film buff you want at your Halloween party. He knows all the creepy cinema, the “slashics”, and the so-bad-they’re-good spooky flicks. If you want to throw a party that becomes a cult classic too, make sure to bring a bottle of Sir Real and his frightening reels. Letterboxd Movie List"

Halloween Party Recipes And Ideas

If you are looking for some Halloween party recipes and ideas, we've got a few for you. Halloween is not just for kids. Adults have some pretty serious themed parties too.

I have a friend who uses her ghost and pumpkin shaped cookie cutters, on flour tortillas. Once the shapes are cut, she deep fries them to make her own goblin chips.

Seems like almost all food and beverages brands get in on the seasonal fun. Social media is teaming with great ideas to take your spread over the top. The folks at V8 and Campbells sent me some recipes this week that caught my eye.

Start by heating the oven to 375°F. Heat soup and water in medium saucepan to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and add the beef. Cook 2 minutes or until beef is hot. Remove beef from soup and cool slightly; keep soup warm.

Meanwhile, pat or roll the biscuit dough into 8 (5 ½ by 4”) ovals. Arrange 4 biscuit ovals on parchment- lined baking sheet. Divide the cheese evenly among the 4 biscuits, cutting to fit, leaving a 1/2 “border. Divide the beef evenly among the biscuits.

Place remaining biscuit ovals on top of beef. Press to seal edges. Using hands, push bottom of oval inward to form a “skull” shape.  Using a sharp knife or scissors, cut eyes, nose, and mouth. (Brush with egg wash if desired).

Finally, bake 15 minutes or until golden-brown. Serve with the reserved soup mixture for dipping.

Until recently, when I hear about V8, I immediately thought about tomato juice, and well Bloody Marys which are perfect for a Halloween brunch. I had no idea they have a long lineup of flavored juices including some canned concoctions with bubbles. Now you have my attention.

Here are a few more Halloween party recipes and ideas.
