Here is the best of the rest for week 4 in college football.  On Thursday I gave you four interesting games.   there are many others.  Here are a few more games in college football week 4 to keep an eye on.  These games could have an impact on the college football playoff down the road.

College Football Week 4 Primetime: Boston College at Florida State, Saturday 8pm ACC Network

In their first home game since Aug. 27, the Seminoles (3-0) will look to start a season with four straight wins for the first time since 2015 when Atlantic Coast Conference foe Boston College (1-2) visits Tallahassee on Saturday.  Quarterback Jordan Travis, defensive end Jared Verse, left tackle Robert Scott Jr. and defensive tackle Malcolm Ray are all listed on this week's depth chart after leaving with injuries -- or being evaluated -- following last Friday's 35-31 win at Louisville.  BC hasn't won in Tallahassee since 2008. FSU has a 14-5 record all-time in the series and has won three straight.

Maryland at (4) Michigan, Saturday Noon ET Fox

Michigan has scored at least 50 points in each of its first 3 games of the season. On Saturday, the Wolverines are looking to score 50+ points in 4 straight games for the 2nd time in program history. They had a 5-game streak in 1903.  In addition, Michigan is looking to join 1904 Minnesota as the only Big Ten teams to score 50+ points in each of its first 4 games of a season.

(7) USC at Oregon State, Saturday 9:30 ET Pac-12 Network

Ridiculous that ESPN chose Utah at pathetic Arizona State as their late game but it is what it is.

Caleb Williams’ Heisman stock continues to rise. The USC QB now has the 2nd-shortest odds (+350) to win the trophy only behind Ohio State’s CJ Stroud (+275). In January, Williams had the 4th-shortest odds at +900.  Alabama QB Bryce Young now has the 3rd-shortest odds at +425.  The Trojans have scored 40+ points in each of their first 3 games this season. They have never done that in their first 4 games of any season in program history.

Vanderbilt at (2) Alabama, 7:30 ET on SEC Network

Vanderbilt is looking for its first on-field win against Alabama since 1984 (the Commodores did pick up a win in the record book after the Crimson Tide forfeited their 17-6 win in 1993). Alabama’s 22-game on-field winning streak against Vanderbilt is tied for its longest winning streak against a single opponent in program history (won 22 straight against Mississippi State from 1958 to 1979).

Vanderbilt has already won three games this season, surpassing its total from the previous two seasons combined.  The Commodores are still looking to snap a 21-game losing streak against SEC opponents, tied for the fifth-longest
conference losing streak in SEC history.
