The deeper we get into the season, the shallower the pool of waiver wire targets becomes. But, that’s not to say there isn’t some value still floating out there. The right add this time of year could set you up for a strong playoff push. Here are some names:
He only had 3 catches against eh Falcons on Sunday, but WOW! He took 2 of those receptions to the house, and just look at this dude. He is a grown man out there. The Tennessee passing attack is not one that you want to rely on weekly, but AJ Brown looks like a dominant receiver waiting to break out with cometant quarterback play.
That was the guy the Bics thought they were drafting 2 years ago. The best number to look at from Sunday's win in Los Angeles is the touches- Jones out touched Barber 20-9. This offense looked awesome on Sunday, but Jones was a big part of it. An explosive rushing attack could propel this offense into one of the best in the league. Hopefully Jones follows up a good performance with another one against the Saints on Sunday.
Tate will return from a 4 game suspension this weekend when the Giants take on the Vikings. This is not a great matchup against a good defense, but the emergence of Daniel jones means the pass catchers in the Big Apple have seen an increase in value. Grab him off the waiver wire now, and he could pay huge dividends come the end of the season... especially in PPR leagues.
With Davante Adams sidelined with a turf toe injury, every other pass-catching option in Green Bay sees an increased value. Valdes-Scantling was leading the team in receptions before Thursday night, so he's probably not available. But Allison is available in more than 50% of leagues. He's got value until Adams returns to the field.
Herndon will return in week 6, but get on this now, especially if you're hurting at tight end. Once darnold gets back, along with Herndon, I fully expect this Jets offense to look completely different. Grab him now- it could pay dividends.
