Southwest Florida Set for Indoor Pickleball Boom With Multiple Facilities Opening in 2025

Southwest Florida is about to see a big wave of indoor pickleball venues, with five new facilities opening in 2025. The state sits in second place nationally with 770 courts, just behind California's 794.
Oasis Indoor Pickleball kicked things off in Collier County, opening its first dedicated indoor pickleball venue in January.
Pickleball Kingdom is looking to build 20 locations across the state by targeting high-demand areas.
"Florida has long been a hotspot for pickleball, and the demand for high-quality indoor courts has never been greater," Ace Rodrigues, Kingdome founder and CEO, said to Naples Daily News. "It's exploding in Florida with a passionate and rapidly expanding community."
Utah-based Picklr is looking to open its first Florida location in Fort Myers by midsummer, with hopes to open a second location in Collier County. At the Alessio Trade Center in Fort Myers, the Atlanta-based Ace Pickleball Club will start up during the same time frame. PickleRage from Miami Beach has also announced plans for a Fort Myers location.
Naples locals will meet on March 18 to discuss plans for an indoor facility near the Great Wolf Lodge.
The Pickleball Club, which had plans to expand in Southwest Florida, closed all of its locations due to financial problems.
