The Patriot Way is useless without Tom Brady. The New England Patriots are getting the band back together again. Or at least they are trying to put some semblance of it together.
Quick recap: For 20 years the Patriots dominated the NFL and won 7 Super Bowls much to the chagrin of 31 other fan bases. Collectively as a nation we grew tired of watching coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady toy with the rest of the league every season. Those in New England suggested the team's success was due to the "Patriot Way," some garbage motto about how the organization was better than the rest because of a grind every day, put the team above self, do your job mentality.
It turned out to be a bunch of hooey. It seems the "Patriot Way" was really the fact they were lucky to have Tom Brady whom they once drafted in the 6th round.
After Brady left, the "Patriot Way" crumbled and it also appeared Belichick was not as good of a coach as everyone thought.
PATRIOT WAY IS USELESS
The Patriot Way is useless: Other teams tried to mimic the "Patriot Way" by hiring management, coaches and left over Patriot players away to see if some of their magic would seep into their organizations. They all failed miserably. They failed because, with the exception of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, no team acquired Tom Brady. To prove our point, let us not forget to mention that the Bucs won a Super Bowl with Brady also.
Now the Patriots are trying to rebuild their dynasty, which crumbled to the ground as the Patriots have been one of the worst teams in the league over the past 5 years. Former Patriot Mike Vrable is now the new head coach. Former Patriot offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is the new offensive coordinator. (It should be noted that McDaniels has been a colossal failure everywhere he has coached without Tom Brady).
Unless current Patriots quarterback Drake Maye suddenly turns into Tom Brady, the "Patriot Way" is useless. And the rest of us will enjoy the long downturn of the Patriots and the "Patriot Way!"
