Being the animal lover that I am, and one that loves to travel, it was music to my ears to hear that therapy dogs are coming to RSW in Fort Myers.
I've been a dog lover all my life, always having 2 or 3 at a time the whole time I was growing up. Now, I have Rocket who is my very best friend. Dogs, to me, are the most special creatures on earth, who are always there for you, showing unconditional love. And even to people they don't know. They're there to listen to your every word, get excited when you get excited, are there to comfort you and are always up for an adventure. And the newest adventure for some pups, is becoming a therapy dog at RSW in Fort Myers.
Therapy Dogs Are Coming to RSW In Fort Myers
I lived in North Dakota for short time about 7 years ago, and often flew out of the Minneapolis airport. My favorite part about that airport was the therapy dogs. And I'd be lying if I said I almost missed my flight a few times because I was busy petting the pups. And now, right here in Fort Myers, RSW will be getting them too.
The Southwest Florida International Airport made the exciting announcement today that they're launching WOOF@RSW. WOOF stands for Watching Over Our Friends and will feature certified therapy dogs at the airport to help you de-stress before a flight and to just make you smile in the way that dogs always do. Tell me that when you walk in and see a pup that it won't be the best greeting ever!
NBC2 reports that the therapy dogs will be at the airport bi-monthly as the program starts, and you'll see the dogs in blue vests with welcoming vests that read "please pet me". Say no more, I'm there! It just might be the best excuse to book a flight.
