7th Fuel Depot Site Now Open at Charlotte Sports Park

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM), with support from Charlotte County, has established a public fuel depot at Charlotte Sports Park, located at 2300 El Jobean Rd. in Port Charlotte. The site is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice to assist residents in their recovery efforts. Each vehicle is limited to 10 gallons of fuel. 

For recovery information, call the Charlotte County Emergency Operations Center at 941-833-4000 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily. 

Additional Fuel Depot Sites

Here are additional fuel depot sites open today. 10 gallon limit. Supplies may run out.

  • Tom Bennett Park, 280 Kay Road, Bradenton
  • Plant City Stadium, 1810 South Park Road, Plant City
  • Central Lot, 800 First Ave. Street, St. Petersburg
  • Suncoast Technical College, 4445 Career Lane, North Port
  • St. Pete College Tarpon Springs, 600 East Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs
  • East Bay Raceway, 6311 Burts Road, Tampa

The fuel depot sites will open daily until 7pm or until fuel runs out. Limit 10 gallons per vehicle. Additional coverage on hurricane recovery can be found at out Hurricane Central Site.

FEMA Assistance

If you have been affected by Hurricane Milton, apply for FEMA assistance to take care of your critical needs. FEMA may provide financial help to assist you with home repairs, temporary housing, or property damage (appliances, furniture, vehicle, etc.) and other expenses.

Don’t wait to apply for FEMA assistance and, if you do have insurance, do not wait to file an insurance claim for damage caused by the disaster.

Apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov or call the FEMA Helpline 1-800-621-3362, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a week. Help is available in many languages.
