New Nonstop Flight From Fort Myers To Chicago

Southwest Floridians love the Windy City. Just in time for the holidays, a new nonstop flight from Fort Myers to Chicago is being introduced. It comes from Frontier Airlines and there is a fare sale to celebrate. The new nonstop is between Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).

Chicago is gorgeous during the holidays. Department store windows are decorated with festive fashion and lifestyle vignettes. There is even ice skating in Millennium Park. Not to mention the weather. You are bound to get that blast of cold that you will never have in Southwest Florida.

The nonstop service takes flight December 14, four times per week. To celebrate find initial fares are as low as $89

“We are thrilled to expand our operations at RSW this December, providing an affordable travel option for those looking to fly between Southwest Florida and the Midwest,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines.

Frontier Airlines recently introduced the so-called ‘The New Frontier’ initiative with lots of changes to enhance your flying experience. For example, there is more transparency with upfront pricing and no change or cancellation fees.

Then there is UpFront Plus which is an upgraded seating option with extra leg and elbow room in the first two rows of the aircraft. In addition, this tier of seating guarantees an empty middle seat for even more room.

Fares must be purchased by 11:59 pm Eastern time on Oct. 7, 2024.  They are valid for non-stop travel on select days of the week. A round-trip purchase is not required.

Finally, these fares are valid for travel Dec. 12, 2024, through Feb. 28, 2025. Make note of the following blackout dates: Dec. 21-31, 2024; Jan. 1-7, 2025; Feb. 13-14, 16-17, 2025. 

With the addition of Chicago to the Frontier's roster, the airline will serve 12 destinations from RSW.

We all need a break from our daily routines. Unplugging in today’s fast world is need physically, spiritually and mentally. Even if you can’t get on a plane and fly somewhere, you can get in a car and head to beach for a weekend.
