Ann Wilson Of Heart Selling Florida Home

Last week I reported that Lindsey Vonn is selling her house in Miami and now Ann Wilson of Heart is selling her Florida Home.

I always thought it would be so cool to own the home of a famous rockstar. A lot of people collect music memorabilia, everything from signed vinyl records to autographed guitars, but how cool would it be to own a piece of history and actually live in the home of your favorite musician. And you know that so many musicians are friends so I'm sure others would've been in the house at some point too. I can only imagine the stories that would come with the house, whether you ever hear them or not.

There are so many musicians with homes here in Florida. Near to us in Southwest Florida, Sarasota is home to Mick Jagger, AC/DC's Brian Johnson and Joe Perry of Aerosmith just to name a few. In Naples, Bob Seger has a condo, as do Ted Nugent and John C. Lodge of The Moody Blues.

Ann Wilson moved to Florida from Seattle a little less than 5 years ago and she just put her home on the market. She had said in interviews how much she loved the weather in Florida compared to all the rain in Seattle, so not sure if she's moving back there or somewhere else. No reason for the sale was given.

The house is located in Palatka and sits on 12 acres along the St. John's River. Wilson bought the home back in 2019 for $885,000 and it's now for sale for $2 million. The 4000+ square foot home was built in the early 1900's and according to the listing, features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as an infinity pool and spa, stained-glass windows, multiple balconies, a dock and a 4 bed-2 bath guest house.

The first fall festival of the season opens this weekend in Southwest Florida, and this is always a popular one. It's the 10th anniversary of Farmer Mike's Fall Festival at the farm's Bonita Springs location. There is a second location on Gladiolus Drive in Fort Myers. It's opening weekend for Chicago at Broadway Palm Dinner Theater in Fort Myers. The longest running American musical in Broadway history comes to life with iconic songs like All That Jazz and Razzle Dazzle. Ticket prices vary. The show runs through November 9th. More info here.

Old School rap stars, the Sugarhill Gang are set to take the stage in Bonita Springs. You might know the words to their iconic “Rapper’s Delight.” Don't miss this fun show Friday, 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $60. Arts Bonita Center for Performing Arts, 0n Bonita Beach Road. More info here. 

The Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium is reopening following a massive renovation project. There is a VIP reception to celebrate, along with an exclusive movie screening. Ribbon cutting is at 10am the party is at night. Friday 6-8, $150. More info here. 

This is the very first Pride Festival in Bonita Springs. Lots of entertainment is planned along with vendor, food trucks and more. Events are both indoors and outdoors at Visual Arts Center on Old 41 Saturday noon to 6pm. Sunday features a Drag Brunch from 1-4pm.  Tickets start at $5. More info here.
