How About Them Cowboys?
How about them Cowboys? All of the off-season hype, turmoil, and contract talks are in the rear view mirror. And in a season where the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team was “all-in,” they are off to a 1-2 start. Is it the end of the world? No. Not even close. Is everything magnified into a big deal because the Cowboys are involved? Yep!
The Cowboys, thus far, beat the Browns, which looks less impressive each day. Then they opened their home schedule with a crushing 25-point defeat to the Saints. And while we are trying to figure out if the Saints are for real, the Cowboys lost at home to the Ravens.
Here are a couple of thoughts on the Ravens game. First of all, the Ravens were not, under any circumstance going to fall to 0-3. They were winning that game. And while the Cowboys have a couple of superstars on the team they cannot stop the run. At all.
HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS?
Also, the Cowboys recently owned a 16-game winning streak at home. But including the humiliating loss to the Packers in the playoffs, the Cowboys have lost three games in a row at home.
And the off-season contract talks we mentioned earlier? Their two highest paid guys, Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb were involved in a kerfuffle on the sideline Sunday. (Mostly CeeDee kerfuffling at Dak).
So, how about them Cowboys? To make matters worse they have a short week and they are the road team for a Thursday Night game to face their rival Giants! A loss in that game and the wheels might start falling off in Dallas. For more NFL talk, tune in each weekday to Craig Shemon and Company on ESPN Southwest Florida from 2-6pm.
NFL Beer Prices For The 2024-25 Season
Which NFL Stadium has the cheapest beer? It’s time to analyze the NFL beer prices for the upcoming season, along with some commentary and a little bit of “who do they think they are?” Along with win/loss records, the price differences also don’t appear to be regional. We have 3 NFL teams here in Florida and one is near the pricing bottom and the other at the top.
A special note to our friends at Fox5 in Washington, DC – I won’t be calling out your precious Washington Commanders this year, either. Someone at management got the note after the 2022 version of this article. Or better yet, they got new management. I personally am taking credit for your beer prices coming down, although I want no part of your 4-13 record from last year. **And a new report from the stadium may contradict earlier findings. Something Shady going on.
In terms of overall expenses, with one of the highest general ticket prices in the league, Cardrates states “the San Francisco 49ers offer the most expensive gameday experience. A ticket, two beers, a hot dog, and parking costs fans $239.66 at Levi’s Stadium.”
The Philadelphia Eagles offer the next most expensive gameday experience at $225.01. Eagles’ general tickets cost around $139, but the beer, hot dog, and parking price at Lincoln Financial Field land them in the second spot for the most expensive game day experience. More on the Eagles in a bit.
NFL Beer Prices
If you want to do some year over year comparison on NFL beer prices, here’s last year’s data. It showed that the Rams and Chargers (who shared a stadium) were tops on the list with the most expensive beer in the NFL. Checking the numbers, it looks like they found a way to bring prices down (a little) while some others came up.
It’s not gonna happen, but I’d love to see pricing based on a floating scale, based on team performance. So, judging this after watching the Patriots preseason game on Peacock last Sunday night, beers at the New England games should be a dollar. You guys got so used to winning every year and now this? Just brutal. So let’s get on with it, starting with the cheapest NFL beer prices which always begins in Atlanta…
Please hmu if any of these prices change, the preseason just ended the real season hasn’t started yet.
