Florida Shoplifter Arrested with $1K in Makeup and Lures
Your typical Florida Shoplifter always think that they’ll never get caught. But here comes a spoiler alert… They always do. Just ask Sylvia Elizabeth Wilson. According to the Villages News, she went into a Walmart in Summerfield and thought she could just waltz out with a shopping cart full of makeup and fishing gear like she a contestant on an episode of “Supermarket Sweep.” But life isn’t a game show, and this Florida Shoplifter picked the wrong night and the wrong store to try her little heist.
Now, you know Walmart ain’t new to the shoplifter hustle, so of course, the store’s asset protection manager had his eyes on her. I mean, come on, it’s almost midnight, and you got a grown woman stocking up on eyeliner and fishing lures like she’s about to do makeup tutorials for aquatic creatures. Suspicious? You bet.
So, this lady fills her cart with about $1,100 worth of stuff, heads to the bathroom, and does whatever a Florida shoplifter does when they’re scheming in a Walmart bathroom. Probably thinking, no one will notice. Sorry but they noticed.
Florida Shoplifter Busted:
The cops show up, as they do, and when they check her out, guess what? Homegirl had a little extra something in her purse. How about some fentanyl and some drug paraphernalia? Yup, not only was she on her makeup-and-lures spree, but she was also was carrying some illegal extras. And let’s not forget, she’s already got a record for theft in Lake County, so she’s no stranger to this game.
So, Sylvia the Florida shoplifter ended up in cuffs and on her way to the Marion County Jail facing charges for theft, drug possession, and having drug equipment. Her bond? A cool $5,500. Let’s be real… Those fishing lures weren’t worth the price she’s about to pay.
