Kimberly Robins and Charles Lambert, a couple from North Carolina, took a trip to the Florida Keys that went from bad to worse faster than you could say "Crown Royal." They weren’t there for vacation either. They had some kind of meeting with a potential employer. But instead of making moves for their future, they ended up in handcuffs.
According to WPLG, the couple rolled up to the Coconuts Bar & Liquor Store early in the morning, which is already a tell-tale sign of bad choices to come. Kimberly then decides to kick off her day by knocking back half a bottle of Crown Royal in just five minutes. Five minutes! Before a job interview?! That’s not drinking, that’s lighting up the bat-signal of stupidity.
Florida Keys Dos & Don'ts:
Now, you know what happens in the Florida Keys when someone starts slamming liquor like that. It sparked an argument between the two, apparently over her drinking. At some point, Lambert reportedly got physical and hit her. So, what does Kimberly do? She gets into their truck to get away but takes it a little too far by driving it into the side of the bar. Yikes. She crashed right into the spot where she just bought the booze. Dang, Kimberly! It’s not even 8 a.m. yet.
By the time the cops show up, the truck’s airbags are deployed, the engine’s still running, and Kimberly is in the driver's seat like an idiot. She stumbles out, reeking of booze, slurring her words, and struggling to even stand up. Medics had to come through and check her out first, but once she was cleared, she had to take some sobriety tests. And let’s be real, she failed all those.
But it didn’t stop there. They took her to the Key West jail for a breathalyzer test, and that’s when things really got sloppy. She spit in a deputy’s face, fell out of her chair, and then grabbed onto his leg like he was trying to leave the club without her. The deputy had to use some "mechanical compliance" to get her off of him. You can guess what that means. Don't tase me bro?
Now Kimberly’s looking at some serious charges. She got felony battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and two DUI misdemeanors. Meanwhile, her husband Charles isn’t off the hook either. He’s facing a misdemeanor battery charge. Both are sitting in jail, waiting for their day in court, and that Florida Keys job interview? Let’s just say it’s probably not happening anymore.
