Brandon Aiyuk Trade Talks Heating Up

Brandon Aiyuk trade talks are heating up between the 49ers and numerous NFL teams. It is no secret that Aiyuk wants a new contract. He sees the receiver market exploding among his peers and he feels undervalued. He reportedly wants near top-of-market money. He is currently in the final and fifth year of his rookie deal that will pay him $14 million dollars a year. Many receiver salaries now double that amount.

Aiyuk's stats are very good but not top of the market. Last year his 75 catches ranked tied for 31st in the NFL. His 1342 yards receiving were 7th. His 7 TD's ranked tied for 18th. And his 17.9 average yards per catch were 15th. Granted, he is on a team loaded with superstars so his touches can be diminished a bit.

There was talk a few weeks ago that Aiyuk would be interested in going to the Washington Commanders as he and Jayden Daniels are close. Yesterday trade rumors suggested a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers was possible. Now it looks like a deal can happen with either the Cleveland Browns or New England Patriots. A framework for a deal with either team is reportedly in place. Since Aiyuk is in the final year of his contract his new team would very likely offer a contract extension. So, logically, Aiyuk is probably negociateing deals with the Patriots and Browns and the team that comes up with the best deal will finish off the trade with the 49ers.

There are so many fun things about the Summer Olympics. But one of the most surprising has been actor/rapper Snoop Dog. He has become one of the games biggest stars for his humorous, down to earth commentary. As well as his exuberant cheerleading. Here at the top 5 Snoop Dogg moments from the Olympics for TikTok Tuesday.

NBC hired Snoop to bring his own chill vibe and special sauce to the play by play action. He has been attending everything from less glamorous competitions like badminton to the wildly popular gymnastics and swimming. He even teamed up with Martha Stewart for equestrian.

In addition, he had become one of the biggest cheerleaders for team USA. In the stands, he is dressed head to toe in patriotic gear. And that's not all. The best part of that gear has been his T-shirts.

Instead of designer labels, they depict the faces of the Olympians who are competing. Think of what that must be like as a beach volleyball player to look in the stands and see your picture emblazoned on Snoop's chest. His arms in the air cheering and dancing.

It's usually the other way around. This is just one of the many ways that has been endearing himself to viewers of all ages.

By the way, the photo at the top of the story is his reaction to one of gymnast Simone Biles' gravity defying feats. It has since gone viral with all kinds of funny memes. There are so many video of him on social media from the Olympics, it really was hard to pick only five to highlight here.

This commentating on badminton is hilarious. I'm not sure I ever realized that this was an Olympic sport until now. 

Snoop makes "Tippy Top" the phrase of the day in this one. It is an accurate although not technical description. He joins another announcer for giving us a play by play of the steeple chase event. 

Equestrian is a another big event and one that Snoop gets a little help from. His BFF Martha Stewart joins in the dressage competition. Snoop has been  open about his fear of horses and talks about it here too. 

Snoop has been doing more than commentating, He has also been participating. He gets into the action with many of the athletes includng swimming super star Michael Phelps. Check this out.
