Paul George Underwhelming Signing for 76ers

Disrespected like Paul George

Paul George underwhelming signing for the Philadelphia 76ers: George is leaving the LA Clippers to join Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid in Philly. He agreed to a 4 year $212 million dollar deal to open free agency in the NBA. He can officially sing the deal July 6th.

I get what 76ers general manager Daryl Morey is trying to do. He is trying to put together a trio of superstars to go after the Celtics. But slapping together 3 stars and creating "super" teams is so yesterday in the NBA.

Afterall, the Clippers just tried it with George, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden. The Nets tried it with James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Morey tried it with James Harden, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons (lol). These failures prove that team chemstry is important. The Celtics have a lot of really good players but most of them have played together for a long time.

PAUL GEORGE UNDERWHELMING SIGNING

George looks good on paper. He averages 21 points per game and he is a 6-time All-NBA player. But his teams woefully underperform in the post season. You know who else woefully underperforms in the post season? The Philadelphia 76ers.

And don't waste your time looking on google or Youtube for Paul George game winning shots or buzzer beaters. He doesn't have any. When he was with the Pacers he coined himself "Playoff P." Why? I don't know. That's why our headline reads Paul George Underwhelming Signing!
