Lakeland McDonald’s Drive-Thru Erupts in a McFlurry of Bullets
Would you like firearms with that? A Lakeland McDonald’s Worker in Custody After Shooting at Customers! According to FOX35, It happened around 1 a.m. on June 14. Sure, sometimes you crave some McNuggets early in the morning. Just maybe hold the gunfire? I’m sure that was the last thing customers pulling up to the McDonald’s in Lakeland were thinking about. One second, they were about to get their snack on, and then get a lot more than they bargained for.
So, this Lakeland McDonald’s employee, Chassidy Gardner, 22, is working the late-night shift. Things get heated when some customers at the drive-through feel like their order is wrong. They start arguing with Chassidy through the window, and it’s not your typical “I asked for no pickles” kind of dispute. This is a full-blown McDrama.
Lakeland McDonald’s Drama:
Chassidy decides she’s had enough and, in a fit of frustration, she hurls a drink at the car as it’s driving off. But hold up, because this ain’t over yet. Two of the customers jump out of their ride, run to the Lakeland McDonald’s drive-through window, and start throwing drinks back at Chassidy. It’s like a fast-food food fight, but it gets way more serious.
Chassidy, who is very McAngry at this point, grabs a gun. Yes, a loaded gun. She then marches outside, gun in hand, and allegedly fires a shot at the vehicle as it’s making a getaway. Talk about fast food escalation! The bullet hits the car, but thankfully, nobody gets hurt.
Lakeland’s finest show up, and Chassidy gets arrested on the spot. No word if the arresting officer was the famous officer Big Mac. (He was my favorite as a kid). She’s charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and spends the night in the Polk County jail. But don’t worry, she’s out the next day after posting a $15,000 bond.
The next time you’re at a Lakeland McDonald’s drive-through, just remember this story. Keep it chill. You never know when that order could come with a side of bullets.
