Florida Toys for Tots Heist: 5 Heartless Suspects Busted
What kind of person would steal from a Florida Toys for tots? More than a few, unfortunately. The lowest of low lives take advantage of kids in my opinion. That kind of thing is inexcusable. That’s just what these losers did in DeSoto County.
According to NBC2, back in October, there was quite a stir when someone pulled off a heist like they were taking cues from the Grinch. They targeted the Brownville School. Made off with over 2,500 bucks worth of toys that were meant for Toys For Tots! Yes you heard it right – they stole from a charity. Not cool at all.
Now they may have thought that they were going to get away with the most heartless holiday season crime ever… But the authorities weren’t just idling around twiddling their thumbs. Oh, no, they’ve been on this case like bees to honey.
Toys for Tots Heist:
After months of investigation, they finally have some suspects in sight. Five individuals are under scrutiny for allegedly stealing from poor kids. Ashley Downs, Eric Downs, Courtney Summer, Lilian Kullen and Timothy Kilgo. Some were apprehended while others had the sense to surrender themselves.
But our story doesn’t end there. The DeSoto County Sheriffs Office isn’t calling it quits yet as they’re still on the lookout for one suspect. They’re actively seeking out someone by the name of Serenity Cheyanne Shipley.
So if you have any information – I mean any, about where this individual might be hiding out, do not hesitate to reach out to law enforcement.
You can reach out to the DeSoto County Sheriffs Office using their emergency number at (863) 993 4700. It’s unfortunate that we have to handle these situations. But when it comes to robbing Toys for Tots and Christmas? Nope. Not going to happen. We don’t take kindly to that here in Florida.
Florida Woman Makes Viral Post With Sheriff Vehicle, Gets Busted For Drug Possession
Time for the story of Talea Saylor, who ran afoul of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office in Englewood, Florida. It all started innocently enough when Talea posed on top of a Charlotte County Sheriff vehicle. The suv was parked at a dealership and she saw this as a perfect opportunity for a viral post. Unfortunately the Sherriff’s Office saw the post. What do you think they’re doing when they’re parked on the side of the road? Scrolling, no doubt.
I’m sure they were annoyed by this woman standing on their vehicle, but the picture is a little blurry. No way you can identify her. Until….
From the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office: “A few days later, one of our Marine Patrol deputies was in the area of Chadwick Cove and noticed two suspects on a familiar 26ft sailboat. The owner of the boat was arrested the day prior and had not yet been released from jail. Contact was made with boat owner via the jail watch commander who advised he did not give anyone permission to be on his boat.”
Inside the boat, the cops found a glass pipe, various drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. Doing meth on a stolen boat? Let’s take a look at the charges our Florida woman is facing.
Burglary of an Occupied Conveyance Unarmed
Possess Controlled Substance without Prescription
Drug Paraphernalia – Possession or Use Of
MARIJUANA- POSSESS NOT MORE THAN 20 GRAMS
It all started with a two fingered salute from atop a sheriff vehicle. So, ready for the mugshot?
