This might be the best Michigan football team ever. And that's saying something. Earlier this fall Jim Harbaugh (technically Harbaugh was suspended for the game) and the Michigan Wolverines notched their 1000th victory in school history dating back to the 1800's. And Monday night the Wolverines have a chance to add to their storied history by when they play the Washington Huskies for the college football national championship.
Both teams are undefeated conference champions and you cannot ask for anything better than that for a title game. Ironically, the Huskies will be leaving the crumbling Pac-12 for the Big 10 this summer. In just a few months a Michigan vs Washington game will just be an average Saturday afternoon in the Big 10!
BEST MICHIGAN FOOTBALL TEAM EVER?
Meanwhile, the Wolverines have a powerful offensive line and an immovable defensive front seven. Their defensive backs have an eye for the ball and their running back Blake Corum is the best redzone runner in the country. Finally, this team is led by cool quarterback JJ McCarthy. He won't blow you away with 500 yard passing games but he almost always makes the right throw and keeps his offense on schedule. This team is so good it only trailed once in the second half this season, and that was vs Alabama in Monday's Rose Bowl. But they still found a way to send the game into overtime and win.
Today we will have Michigan football trivia on Craig Shemon and Company on ESPN Southwest Florida. Good Luck!

Estero Is Looking Forward To 2024 Events At Hertz Arena
It's a new year and that means a new line up of talent and entertainment is coming with events at Hertz Arena in 2024. Get ready Estero, they've got some awesome shows coming our way.
Last year will be hard to beat, especially for the country and Latin music fans in Southwest Florida.
I went to several shows at Hertz Arena in 2023. Some standouts were definitely Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and Old Dominion. As you can obviously tell, I am a country music fan. I'll be honest, I tend to prefer the smaller audiences at shows in venues like Hertz Arena, over stadium shows in Tampa or Miami. Concession lines aren't as long, you can get into the bathroom and there might be a small t-shirt left at the merch table when the show ends. And don't even get me started with parking lots at big shows. If you drive you'll sit for a while to exit and if you don't, finding an Uber is next to impossible.
So, what do we have to look forward to at Hertz Arena in 2024? Let's find out.
Events at Hertz Arena In 2024
Hertz Arena in 2024 has something for all ages coming up this year. Of course, we have the Florida Everblades games, which are always a local favorite in my opinion. We have musical acts, family shows like the Harlem Globetrotters and Disney On Ice, and several comedians making their way to Estero throughout the entire year. With the summer calendar pretty much bare, we can certainly expect some new show announcements in the coming months.
As always, stay tuned because we always have tickets to giveaway to most of the local shows that hit the Southwest Florida area, including events at Hertz Arena.
