Powerball Numbers And Red Ball That Have Been The Luckiest
As the Powerball jackpot now approaches two billion, public interest builds. Personally, here in Florida, I don't even play my Powerball numbers until it hits a billion. We've become so spoiled. Not just Florida people. Everywhere.
Although the big jackpot would be nice, we've had some recent luck in Florida with the secondary prize of 1 million. It's called "Match 5" when you get the 5 white ball numbers correct, but not the red one. Back on September 25th three Match 5 tickets were sold in Florida. One from a Publix in Kissimmee. Another from a Walmart in Kissimmee. And the third one was from a Circle K in Eustis. 2 more here in Florida on the September 30th drawing. The October 9th drawing had a 2 million dollar winner in Hollywood Florida. So we're close.
The one million dollar prize would be nice, but I want the one billion +. With the one million win, after taxes and lump sum early payment penalty, you're looking at somewhere around $640,000.00. Maybe less. That's barely enough to buy a decent house in Southwest Florida. I remember the times when being a millionaire meant you could retire early. Not so much anymore.
With the jackpot hitting in the billion range, it's time to head to Publix of a nearby gas station and pick up tickets. But rather than just getting random numbers, let's take a deeper look into this. Some numbers pop up more than others. The "lucky numbers" if you will. So thanks to Powerball Statistics, we're able to see which numbers come up the most.
Powerball Numbers And Red Ball That Have Been The Luckiest
This data was updated on Tuesday October 10, 2023. The data is based on 948 drawings since Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
If you’re reading this after that date, well, you may need to adjust the numbers. Finally, this is for entertainment only. Any money you lose is on you. I’m just providing some data. I haven’t won with these Powerball Numbers yet, either. Good luck everyone. Let's have a look at those numbers.
# # #
Play Responsibly61
61 is the clear winner. It's been drawn 90 times in the timeframe. That breaks down to number 61 showing up in 9.54% of the drawings. Nearly one in ten. Is it due? Well, 61 last showed up back on August 30th. Hmmm.
32
The 32 ball is not far behind. It's been in 89 of the drawings. That math means it's been there in the chute 9.44% of the time when the drawing is done. Now 32, like the rest on this list, has shown up recently. It was last drawn on September 4th.
63
Another one in the 60's. Powerball only goes up to 69, so it's interesting to see these two drawn so much. Ball 63 has been drawn 87 times. However, it's shown up even more recently - on October 4th.
21
Lucky 21. This is where it drops off just a bit. 21 has appeared in 86 of the drawings. That gives it a percentage of 9.12%. Still pretty good. But - it showed up recently, on September 18th.
36
36 has shown up a respectable 84 times in this time frame. That gives it a draw percentage of 8.91%. I think we're really starting to see how some balls seem to be favored. We last saw this one on September 25th.
Let's move on to the Red Powerball
18
The clear winner is 18. In 943 drawings it's been there 49 times. That's 5.2% of the time. Better than 1 in 20. But, and there's always a but. Powerball 18 was there on September 13th. In comparison, red ball number 24 was right behind with a 5.09% draw and hasn't been seen since July 19th.
Let's check the unlucky numbers.
If you're the type that likes to play birthdays, anniversaries, and things like that - you don't want to see your number here. It's the bottom of the list.
13 - It may be Taylor Swift's lucky number, but it's on the bottom of the list. It's been there 50 times in the timeframe and has a draw percentage of 5.3%. How is it possible that one number comes up nearly half as often as another? I don't have the answer. 34 and 49 are also near the bottom, although 34 did pop up on October 9th.
Powerball 15 - Only shows up in 2.86% of the drawings. February 20th was the last time. Red balls 16 and 12 aren't much better.
If you want the deep dive on this data, you'll find that here. Will these numbers prove lucky in the next drawing? We just don't know.
