Polk County Florida Sheriff’s Office Is Selling “Sheriff on a Shelf”

Polk County Sheriff On A Shelf

If Elf On A Shelf isn't keeping your kids behavior in check, maybe it's time for the next step. The Polk County Florida Sheriff's Office is selling a "Sheriff on a Shelf". It looks to be a bendable, poseable, Sheriff Grady Judd.

The Sheriff On A Shelf promises to report kid's behavior back to Santa, just like the Elf does. He'll be there to remind kids to be mindful, and to keep their Florida Man type antics in check. Looking at the picture, I'm not sure what the one on the far right is doing.

The dolls are $20 each and all proceeds go to Polk Sheriff's Charities. Sales are cash only, in-person only.

To get your very own Sheriff on a Shelf, visit one of the following locations:

PCSO Sheriff's Operations Center, 1891 Jim Keene Blvd, Winter Haven
Central District, 3935 Avenue G NW, Winter Haven
Southeast District, 4011 Sgt. Mary Campbell Way, Lake Wales
Northeast District, 1100 Dunson Rd, Davenport
Northwest District, 1045 Wedgewood Estates Blvd, Lakeland (north)
Southwest District, 4120 US Hwy 98 South AKA Bartow Rd, Lakeland (south)
Central County Jail lobby, 2390 Bob Phillips Rd, Bartow

Next up, we see what Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno comes up with. He's not one to be outdone by the others. My suggestion would be a Lee County Hot Pursuit Race Car Set. Make it happen. UPDATE(11/15): The Lee County Sher-Elf on a Shelf just dropped. It's $30 and looks nothing like him. No word on the race car set I asked for.

The Florida Strawberry Festival is a huge annual festival in Plant City and the entertainment lineup for the 2024 fest has been announced.

We're lucky here in Florida to have so many great festivals to attend year-round. One of the biggest is the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City. Locals and visitors both gather in the heart of the heart of the Sunshine State every February in an event that celebrates agriculture, specifically strawberries. The festival features everything you need to have a good time. There's a variety of family-friendly activities, including live entertainment and livestock shows. In the Midway, there are over 80 rides, games and attractions. Each day features a different special day or discount. You can find those specials here. And of course, it wouldn't be a festival without an incredible selection of food vendors. In this case, those vendors showcase different strawberry-centered treats like strawberry shortcakes, strawberry milkshakes, and even unique creations like strawberry pizza.

The organizers announced in September that this year's festival theme is "Out of This World. Tickets to the fest are $10 for adults 13+, $5 for kids aged 6-12 and kids under 5 are free.
