Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach Is Accepting Reservations For The Holidays

A couple taking a selfie at the entrance to Margaritaville Resort. Margaritaville accepting reservations

The news keeps getting better for Parrot Heads and Southwest Floridians wanting a beach getaway. Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach is accepting reservations for the holidays now. In September the new resort opened bookings for February. However, much progress has been made in construction and it appears the resort will be ready earlier than expected. Now you can get a room as early as December 21st.

The newest, biggest resort to open on Estero Island has had to overcome numerous hurdles. Devastation from Hurricane Ian is just one of them. Even before Ian, this resort was poised to change the landscape of the north end of the beach. Before the storm, many locals were  concerned about the size of the resort and the effect it could have on traffic which is notoriously bad in this area. But those are in the rearview mirror and the project is seeing an even brighter light at the end of what has been a long tunnel.

We can't wait to see neon signs like this one, illuminated at Margaritaville Resort on Fort Myers Beach. This is at Margaritaville Restaurant at Universal CityWalk in Orlando. Soon we won't have to drive inland for the experience.

The Caribbean themed resort covers seven acres on Estero Island, has more than 250 rooms and boasts an elevated bridge. The bridge from the resort stretches above Estero Blvd, and onto the beach offering a safe crossing for guests and visitors. Margaritaville is bringing some 200 jobs to the island which is a nice boost. Especially following Hurricane Ian. The official opening date has not been announced yet, however, the date keeps getting closer. Now, Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach is  accepting reservations for the holidays.

Here is a link to the website where you can book a room starting December 21st. Be among the first to stay here and have a cheeseburger in paradise.

The 10 Most Expensive Properties On Fort Myers Beach Right Now

If you've got the money and want to live on the beach, there are a lot of options. Taking a look at the 10 most expensive properties on Fort Myers Beach breaks down into 3 categories.

There's obviously benefits to each. For the first, that home is clearly well built and can withstand a lot. The second one means you get to build exactly what you want, within code of course. The third seems to be mostly for condos. I see language like "Phase 2" and "Phase 3" around these.

If you think these properties are pricey now, wait until Margaritaville is open and there's a LOT more people coming to the beach. I really think the real estate market on Fort Myers Beach has more room to run. Provided we can make it through this hurricane season. One storm, as we know, can change everything.

So let's go to Realtor.com to take a look at the 10 Most Expensive Properties On Fort Myers Beach Right Now

    10. 6230 Estero Blvd Unit 301, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $4,200,000

It's new construction, the condos haven't been built yet. It's towards the southern end of the island and looks to be on the grounds of the old Carousel Inn.

    9. 5960/5964 Estero Blvd Lot 6, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $4,500,000

There was an older wooden house there. Now all that's left is the swimming pool. It's across the street from the church where Estero Blvd makes that bend.

    8. 290 Carolina Ave, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $4,600,000

This one is move in ready. Fully restored after the hurricane, even the dock. It's on the bay side so it probably took a little less damage. It comes with an elevator and looks to be within walking distance of Yo Taco!

    7. 3630 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $4,999,999

This one is pitched primarily as a vacation rental property. It's on the coast a bit south of Diamondhead. Looks like the hurricane beat it up, but it held. And now it can be yours.

    6. 6230 Estero Blvd Unit 402, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $5,200,000

New construction. Looks like the pricier version of number 10 on this list.

    5. 6240 Estero Blvd Unit 4, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $5,250,000

New construction. Another condo building being built next to the one at number 6.

    4. 3750 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $5,250,000

A big vacant lot about mid way down the island on the coast. The building on this lot used to be one of those wooden vacation rentals, but that's gone now.

    3. 324 Estero Blvd Lot 1, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $5,495,000

On the coast, the lot is zoned for condos so they're looking for a developer. It's near the Pink Shell.

    2. 455 Palermo Cir, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $5,990,000

New construction 3-story concrete home. This lot is bay side with water access. The area used to be older wooden homes so this 3 story concrete house will really stand out. It's a 5 minute walk to Yo Taco! and a 9 minute half mile walk to the new Margaritaville. Pretty ideal.

    1. 3321 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

    $6,450,000

This is 5 lots that was previously the Palm Terrace Resort. The downside here is that it's not on the beach and the big houses across the street will block any chance of watching the sunset from your living room. But it's a big area.
