World Series action tonight!  Back in my day the World Series was the biggest sporting event of the year.  Now, I'm afraid, for most sports fans it's an after thought.  Some even need to be reminded it begins tonight.  Still, even some more many need to be reminded who's playing.  Many others would have trouble naming players on the participating teams.  This fact was eluded to recently on a Monday Night Football broadcast when announcer Troy Aikman referred to "my Rangers" are doing well.  Joe Buck fired back and said he's give Aikman 100 dollars on the spot if he could name 4 players on the Rangers.  Point made.

Never the less, it's time to get ready for the Fall Classic with a quiz.  Are you ready?

4 Teams That Should Trade for Derrick Henry

As the half way point of the NFL season approaches teams need to start making decisions about their future. There will be teams that need to acquire an extra place to get them over the hump. And there will be teams that start their rebuilds early be selling off assets. The Tennessee Titans feel like one of those teams. I have come up with 4 teams that should trade for Derrick Henry. The former All-Pro back still has 2 years left on his contract. But the Titans feel like a franchise that are looking for a reset. Ryan Tannehill isn't a guy who can take you to a title. And by the time this roster is in a position to win Derrick henry will be well into his 30's. He can still help a team get over the top. I believe there are 4 teams that should trade for Derrick Henry.

Derrick Henry will turn 30 before the end of the season. The Titans don't have any game changing pass catchers. They have two young quarterbacks with huge question marks around them. And the entire roster lacks the playmakers needed to compete in the AFC. I think it is time for the Titans to start rebuilding for the future. The easiest way to do that is acquire draft picks. Derrick Henry is the most obvious name on the roster that would bring back a nice haul of draft picks. While I don't believe he will get a 1st round pick in return. I do think a couple of day 2 draft picks is obtainable. Here are the 4 teams that should trade for Derrick Henry.

1. Dallas Cowboys

Tony Pollard has been fine this year. He is averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Derrick Henry is almost a half a yard per carry better than Pollard at 4.3. It will be difficult for this deal to happen after Jerry Jones came out and said they will not be reaching out to initiate any trade discussions. I don't understand that.

2. Cleveland Browns

Many people (including me) thought when Nick Chubb went down for the season that the season was over for the Browns. That has not been the case even though Deshaun Watson hasn't played a ton as he's been dealing with a shoulder injury. Jerome Ford has been fine, but adding Derrick Henry would clearly be an upgrade for the Browns. And could keep them in the race for the division.

3. Houston Texans

This one seems unlikely since the Texans and Titans are in the same division. But it makes sense from the perspective that Houston is building while Tennessee is tearing it down.

4. Cincinnati Bengals

This offense hasn't looked right all year outside of their performance against the Cardinals. I'm not putting that on Joe Mixon and his 3.8 yards per carry. But maybe there is something to Mixon being better in a 2 back system. Henry could handle the first 2 downs the Mixon come in for the passing downs. I think it could work and bring a new element to the Bengals offense.
