Orlando Man Uses Gun to Settle ‘Best Son’ Debate at Football Game

mugshot of Orlando man accused of brandishing a gun during his son's football game.

The world of youth football just got a dose of drama. In Orlando Florida, one dad took his passion for his son's Pop Warner game to a whole new level, and let's just say it didn't end well for the Orlando Man.

Meet Quan Isom, a man who clearly doesn't play by the rules. He decided that a friendly debate in the stands about whose kid is the football superstar escalated into a showdown. I guess the saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will make me flash a gun" wasn't in his vocabulary.

According to Fox35, Isom, allegedly miffed by another parent's claim that their child was superior on the field, storms off to his trusty pickup truck. And what does he retrieve? You guessed it... A gun. He then proceeds to strut around the youth football game, displaying his newfound accessory for all to see. I mean, who needs halftime entertainment when you've got this guy, right?

Orlando Man Gun Drunk:

Thankfully, someone with some common sense dialed 911, and the police descended upon the scene like a herd of referees. They cornered Isom's car and found him sitting shotgun with his better half in the driver's seat. She admitted the gun was stashed beneath her throne, but Quan was having none of this cooperative business. The Orlando man reportedly threatened to take out the K-9 unit, and when the officers ordered him to hit the turf, he decided to do the moonwalk instead.

Now, if that's not a red flag, I don't know what is. The poor wife was behind the wheel because this idiot had indulged a bit too much in the adult beverages. Thus leaving his common sense somewhere in the bleachers.

To make matters even worse, inside their vehicular arsenal, the police discovered two beer bottles, a bottle of whiskey, and an EAA .357 caliber revolver with a handy four rounds of .38 special ammo. They noted that the gun was ready to rock and roll, which is the last thing you want in the middle of a Pop Warner game.

It's a cautionary tale of what not to do at your child's youth football game. Let's leave the drama to the professionals on the field, and for heaven's sake, keep the firearms at home. Remember, it's just a game.
