When it comes to sharing a drink with a random Florida woman, a little caution might just save you from an unexpected twist. These ladies could charm the feathers off a flamingo, but beware the ones who keep bug spray in their cocktail shakers.
One Florida woman, 29-year-old Veronica Cline, recently found herself in the not so welcome embrace of the law enforcement after allegedly pulling off a culinary crime that’s sure to leave your stomach churning.
According to the Fox 35, Miss Cline stands accused of the daring act of spiking a gentleman’s beverage with cockroach bug spray. Yup, That foul-smelling, bug-blasting concoction typically reserved for those six-legged intruders that make midnight appearances in your kitchen. Gross.
Bug Spray Shots Anyone?
The saga begins with a chance meeting at a local watering hole. Our unwitting victim crossed paths with Veronica Cline. The charming meet up led to an invitation to her home for a few drinks. Little did he know, he was about to have a sip that would give new meaning to the term “strange brew.” Two drinks in and suddenly he’s feeling rather queasy. It turns out our aspiring bartender had been performing some unorthodox experiments, treating his taste buds to a potent blend of Raid spray. Quite the cockroach cocktail, don’t you think?
Predictably, the gentleman’s tummy wasn’t too thrilled about her little chemical infusion. The guy got REALLY sick. law enforcement arrived on the scene. Let’s face it, a cockroach spray lunatic on the loose warrants some police attention. Miss Cline managed to evade capture for a while by hiding behind a bush. Yikes. Don’t tell her, but there are bugs in there.
In the end, the curtain closed on Veronica Cline. She soon made her grand entrance into the Volusia Branch Jail, where she’s now enjoying a stay courtesy of her newfound fame. Hopefully the other inmates don’t bug her too much.
