5 Fort Myers Hooters Girls Surprise Camp Students At Orangewood Elementary School
The Fort Myers Hooters girls surprised the summer camp kids at Orangewood Elementary School with ice cream sundaes filled with toppings. After making the ice cream sundaes for the children and teachers they enjoyed recess time. They took part in several classic games and activities with the kids such as ‘Hot potato’, ‘Duck, Duck, Goose’, bubbles and chalk art.
Fort Myers Hooters employees who participated include Chloe Chisholm, Makenna Diogo, Chelsea Schapira, Jenna Tucker and Emily Shaffer. “We had the chance to meet awesome kids. We played so many games and enjoyed making ice cream sundaes. I had a great time visiting the kids and giving back to our Lee County Community. I can’t wait to come back,” said Jenna Tucker who works at Fort Myers Hooters.
“We are so thankful to Hooters and the girls that came out to our summer camp program! The kids were so excited to learn that they were visiting. The kids became even more excited when they saw what surprise the girls had for them. Ice cream, including all the toppings a kid would love! Much needed on these hot summer days! After ice cream, the girls set up different stations to play with the kids. Hot potato was a favorite! It was so great to see the kids have so much fun and the girls were wonderful when interacting with them. Once again, thank you Hooters for your community support. We really appreciate it!” said Katie Coleman who is a teacher at Orangewood Elementary School.
“Giving back and being active in our community is a priority for all of our Hooters locations in Southwest Florida. We wanted to surprise the kids with ice cream sundaes and fun activities for the children during the summer,” said South Florida Hooters Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles. Earlier this year, Fort Myers Hooters visited Orangewood Elementary School in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week and provided lunch for the staff and delivered donations of outdoor sporting equipment to the school.
