No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Residents in Cape Coral can get gas for $1.76.
There is a new 76® gas station opening at 1465 SW 4th Street in Cape Coral and they're coming in hot!
Gas prices are on a steady decline across the country. The national average just a year ago was a staggering $4.79 for the weekend of 4th of July. This year, we're looking at an average of $3.49, according to Gas Buddy.
So, if you were happy about gas under $4, how does gas under $2 sound?
On Saturday, July 8th, Southwest Florida residents have the opportunity to score gas for $1.76. The new 76® gas station will offer regular unleaded gas for $1.76 per gallon between the hours of 9am and 5pm, during the grand opening celebration for 76® and The Daybreak™ Market. You do need to download the new Fuel Forward App to redeem the offer, but that's easy.
The Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce will welcome the new 76® gas station and The Daybreak™ Market with an 8:30 ribbon cutting.
During the grand opening and while supplies last, there will be a variety of fun and family-friendly activities from 11am - 4pm, including food and drink specials offered by Daybreak™ Market, a face painter, music by BoomNUrLife entertainment, product giveaways from Mondelēz International/Nabisco Brands, Inc., Coremark®, Monster Energy®, 7 Up®, and Pepsi®.
Customers may also win swag and branded merchandise with a spin of the 76® brand prize wheel with proof of Fuel Forward™ App download or completed credit card application.

According to National Calendar Day, we should all be gearing up for a cup or a cone, because July is National Ice Cream Month. With that in mind, we thought what better a time to share the top rated places for Ice Cream in Fort Myers this summer, and some fun Ice Cream Facts.
Did you know?
If you're like me, you prefer a cup. I'm simple really, two scoops of traditional strawberry and I'll walk away happy. If I'm feeling a little edgy, I might ask for a waffle cone. Unpopular opinion, I cannot stand chocolate ice cream.
Anyway, to put this list together, I took to the crew over at Yelp! They're the experts at customer ratings and reviews, so why not take a look at their favorites in Fort Myers
These are the top 12 places for ice cream in Fort Myers you might want to add to your summer list of treats.
