Pat Sajak Leaving Wheel Of Fortune After 40 Years: Cringeworthy Moments

After 40 years on the long running game show, host Pat Sajak has announced his retirement.  He announced his departure in a tweet, saying:

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Sajak said. “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.

“Many thanks to you all.”

He began as the host of the long time game show in 1981, alongside co host, Vanna White.  It is unclear at this time as to who is replacement will be.

Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of hilarious bloopers come from contestants on the show.  As a tribute to Sajak, we’ve gathered some of the funniest bloopers and shared them for you here.

Jeopardy! has been a family favorite for TV night for decades.  As kids and now as adults, we have spent countless hours in front of the TV pretending to play the game ourselves.  If you are anything like me, you’re competing against the contestants on the screen AND your family members watching with you.

Sure, we know Florida is the Sunshine State.  We know the state is famous for oranges.  We know we love Key Lime Pie.  We like to dress as pirates.  We have the best beaches.  We know the basics, right?

Let’s see what you know!  We want to put you to the test, just as the late, great Alex Trebek would’ve done on the long running, legendary game show.  And yes, it is still on every night.  Jeopardy! is now hosted by the likes of winner Ken Jennings and actress Mayim Bialek.
