Score Free Pizza For A Year In Fort Myers This Friday
There's a new Pizza Hut opening in Fort Myers this week and to celebrate they're giving out free pizza for a year. The first 25 customers in line during the grand opening on Friday, May 19th will receive a punch card redeemable for two complimentary specialty or up to 3-topping large pizzas per month (24) for one year. The new restaurant is located at 13401 Summerlin Road.
The new Pizza Hut location will have a more modern design with bold decor on the inside. Also coming with the new store is a new pizza. The Philly Cheesesteak pizza which looks pretty darn tasty if you ask me. Topped with sirloin steak strips, alfredo sauce, green bell peppers, and onion. Yum!
Three Southwest Florida Spots Made Yelp’s New List of Top 100 Florida Restaurants
Yelp is out with a new list. They rated the Top 100 Florida Restaurants of 2023 and Southwest Florida has 3 on the list. All in all, Fort Myers, Naples, and Fort Myers Beach made the list. It's actually pretty incredible since the Fort Myers beach restaurant that made the list just recently reopened since Hurricane Ian. It's a nice nod to them on the amazing progress they made in getting things up and running again.
The Yelp list " is based on our community’s ratings and reviews." So after someone eats at one of these establishments, they feel strongly enough about the experience to go online and express that. We'll get to the Top 10 of Florida in a bit, let's see where our local places stack up against the rest of the state in Yelp's list of Top 100 Florida Restaurants.
At number 57 is Uncle Rico's Pizza in Fort Myers. You can find them at 2960 Cleveland Avenue, just south of Lee Memorial. Yelp reviewers cannot stop raving about this place. More than one person referred to their pie as "perfect". That's what I want in a pizza place. Pepperoni knots, house special pizzas, and Jamaican Beef Patties are go-tos. According to their Insta, they reopen on Friday. Expect a crowd.

At Livingston and Pine Ridge in Naples, this is the spot for Vegan food.
100. Dixie Fish Co, Fort Myers Beach
Located on Fisherman's Wharf on Fort Myers Beach the DFC took heavy damage from Hurricane Ian and just reopened a month ago. From having a boat washed into your door to packed crowds just 5 months later. Good to have you back, this place is amazing.
