MUST WATCH: Scottie Scheffler With Wild Hole-in-One in Masters Par 3 Contest

It's not shocking at all to have a few hole-in-one moments in the Masters Par 3 Contest, but the way Scottie Scheffler got his was about as crazy as you'll see.

For those new to the Par 3 Contest, it's not exactly traditional golf structure. It's a laid-back family affair, with kids and spouses and family members joining the golfers, hitting some shots, and all sorts of fun.

Scheffler had friends Sam Burns and Tom Kim in his playing group Wednesday, and as the trio took to the 9th and final hole of the day, they decided to tee off together. (This isn't uncommon in this event.) Watch the moment below... carefully.

You may not have noticed it, but all three shots were pretty close, and you can clearly see three golf balls down there. So announcers were a bit surprised to learn that one of those didn't belong. Seamus Power left his ball behind when he finished up, so there were actually FOUR balls. But one of them was in the hole. Turns out, it was Scottie's, and it went straight in the hole.

As we noted earlier, the winner of the Par 3 Contest has never won the Masters Tournament in the same year, so the defending champion is probably happy he isn't leading on Wednesday, despite the unlikely hole-in-one.

Oh, and just to point out, there have been a few other hole-in-one shots on the day, including TWO in a row from Seamus Power.

The world’s top-ranked golfer proved exactly why he just vaulted into that position, as Scottie Scheffler was atop the 86th Masters Leaderboard at Augusta National Golf Club.

Scheffler topped Rory McIlroy by three strokes to take home the record $2.7 million prize to go along with the iconic Green Jacket. He made it interesting with a scary double-bogey on the last, when his nerves finally got the better of him.
